Well, guys, my dog, Coalbalt, was put to sleep today. The vet came to our house and told us he had heart failure after a blood test. Fluid had built up in his lungs and in his belly, making him very uncomfortable and odd looking.

I had my hand on his chest when he stopped breathing after the injection, which killed him painlessly. He was already asleep when the vet gave him a second shot, the one that put him to sleep.

He was so sick today, coughing and weezing like mad, and since there was nothing else to do, we made the choice to relieve him of his pain. It was hard on everyone. Even my dad cried.

I know Coldner is much happier in Heaven! I can't wait to see him. I believe God has a special place for our pets in His kingdom.

Coalbalt's grave is very pretty too. I bet he would have liked it. ^^
